About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a range of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking using various kitchen equipment.
- Ensure the quality of products served meets the highest standards.
- Inspect incoming produce to ensure it meets order sheets, receiving records and purchasing specifications.
- Maintain knowledge of standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules and guidelines.
- Apply proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
- Assist in controlling outlet operational budget to maximize profitability.
- Record guest complaints, requests and solutions and report them to the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of and adherence to fire, hygiene and safety policies.
- Keep equipment and working areas clean and in good working condition.
- Uphold guidelines and standards of service and operation.
- Adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.
