Business Development Manager - Acquisition

Cassbana is expanding its operations in Oman, seeking a Business Development Manager – Acquisition to spearhead growth initiatives in the region.

  • Acquisition Strategy: Identify and onboard new suppliers and merchants, leveraging targeted territories to drive business expansion.
  • Lead Generation: Prospect and qualify leads through field visits, referrals, and cold outreach, ensuring a robust pipeline for growth opportunities.
  • Market Insights: Understand the dynamics of FMCG distribution and informal retail financing in Oman, staying abreast of emerging merchant challenges and opportunities for growth.

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in field sales or B2B acquisition, preferably in FMCG or microfinance.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel within the assigned territory.
  • Comfortable with digital tools (CRM, mobile apps, Google Workspace).
  • Must be currently residing in Oman.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the Omani market.
  • Experience selling financial products, POS systems, or FMCG goods to small merchants.
  • Understand the informal trade ecosystem and the decision-making process of merchants.
