Job Description

In this role as Technical Sales Director, your primary responsibilities will encompass but not be limited to the following:

  • You will be responsible for driving technical sales and business development of products and solutions in Oman.
  • Achieving assigned targets for New Sales booking, number, and quality of leads and opportunities created on a Quarterly, Bi-annual, and Annual basis is essential.
  • You must identify relevant Decision-Making Units (DMUs) in assigned accounts and make technical and sales presentations to DMU's and weekly log in CRM.
  • Developing leads and qualifying sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements, competition, decision-making process, and funding are critical aspects.
  • You will manage key End User technical relationships and successfully build relationships with the account team, partners, and customers.
  • Providing technical leadership and direction to customers and internal team in the development of fully integrated technology solutions in support of pre-sales activities in the assigned market.
  • Reviewing and approving techno-commercial offers and technical submittals.
  • Coordinating with various intercompany departments such as engineering, services, logistics, accounts /finance, etc. to achieve desired customer satisfaction levels.
  • Obtaining products and schemes specified through MEP Consultants / Clients.
  • Making technical presentations (general, product and application-specific) to clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Representing the company in focused business meetings and trade shows; organizing and managing trade show booth.
  • Selecting vendors by analyzing market trends & introducing new products/services to increase revenue and profits.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in technical sales and business development, preferably in the technology or engineering sectors.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in assigned territories, specifically in Oman.
  • Experience in identifying and engaging with Decision-Making Units (DMUs) within accounts, including conducting technical and sales presentations tailored to various stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of customer technical requirements, with demonstrated ability to qualify sales opportunities and navigate complex decision-making processes.
  • Established relationships with key End Users, MEP Consultants, and industry stakeholders, showcasing ability to manage and nurture these connections effectively.
  • Experience in providing technical leadership and direction in pre-sales activities, collaborating with engineering and technical teams to develop integrated solutions.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems for tracking sales activities, leads, and customer interactions.
  • Ability to review and approve techno-commercial offers and technical submittals, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company standards.
  • Experience in coordinating cross-departmental efforts (engineering, services, logistics, finance) to enhance customer satisfaction and deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent the company at trade shows and business meetings, effectively promoting products and solutions to prospective clients and partners.
  • Knowledge of vendor selection and development processes, with focus on market analysis and introducing innovative products/services to drive profitability.
