Human Resources Generalist Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for a full range of HR operations and employee relations tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, with experience in recruitment, employee onboarding, payroll processing, benefits administration, and conflict resolution.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support the recruitment process by ensuring a smooth transition of candidates from recruiting to the onboarding stage.
  • Responsible for all mobilisation and demobilisation requirements, including air tickets, visa paperwork and processing, temporary accommodation etc.
  • Process new hires, salary changes, cost center changes, terminations, and maintain all employee files using the appropriate system and procedure.
  • Deal with daily HR queries from employees on various employment contracts and liaise with HR teams around the globe to ensure queries are closed out in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with the Company's transaction centre in Dubai on payroll documentation and issues to ensure employees are paid correctly.
  • Conduct exit interviews and assist the HR Manager with induction of new hires.
  • Travel to remote sites as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor Degree and a minimum of 8 years generalist HR experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with all levels of the organization, including Senior Management.
  • Previous experience in HR operations is essential.
  • Experience working with a multi-national workforce.
  • Experience in government relations and processes.
  • International HR/global mobility and management of expat contracts experience.
  • Ability to proactively identify and address issues.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Knowledge of Omani laws is essential.
  • Omani national preferred.
