Omantel is hiring for one of its subsidiaries' CEO – ICT Organization, Muscat (Oman)
This is a
unique opportunity to lead a fast-growing ICT Organization driving digital transformation, innovation, and technology services in Oman. We are looking for a visionary leader with:

ROLE OBJECTIVE
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of
the company
is responsible for defining and executing the vision, strategy, and growth roadmap as it transforms into Oman's national ICT champion. The CEO leads the end-to-end development, commercialization, and scale-up of
the company's
ICT offerings across Cloud, Data Center, Cybersecurity, IoT, System Integration, and Emerging Technologies.
The role oversees company-wide functions including strategy, operations, product development, financial performance, partnerships, regulatory alignment, and cultural transformation. As the face of
the company
, the CEO represents the organization to national stakeholders, enterprise clients, global technology partners, regulators, and key interface to Omantel Group. The CEO drives innovation, commercial agility, talent development, and long-term sustainability as
the company
becomes a critical digital enabler for Oman's economy and digital future.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Define and communicate
the company's
long-term vision and transformation strategy aligned with national ICT objectives and Omantel Group's digital ambitions - Lead
the company's
evolution from a cloud/data center company into a full-stack ICT solutions provider and systems integrator
Business Growth & Market Positioning
- Expand
the company's
market presence and revenue through strategic product launches in Cloud, IoT, System Integration and other priority ICT solutions - Identify high-growth verticals (e.g., government, oil & gas, banking, telecom) and tailor value propositions accordingly
- Develop and drive go-to-market strategies, channels, and ecosystem partnerships to drive customer acquisition and retention
Operational Excellence & Delivery
- Oversee all functional operations including product development, service delivery, sales, customer support, and technology deployment
- Ensure SLA adherence, service scalability, and continuous improvement across delivery units
Transformation & Change Management
- Lead the cultural and operational transformation to a fast-moving, agile, innovation-led ICT company
- Embed digital thinking, customer-centricity, and outcome-based service models into the organizational DNA
Financial Management
- Own financial performance including P&L, cash flow, investment decisions, pricing strategies, and cost efficiency
- Drive profitability through commercial discipline, operational leverage, and strategic partnerships
Product & Technology Innovation
- Champion a differentiated, scalable product portfolio across cloud, cybersecurity, and infrastructure solutions
- Foster an innovation-driven culture that embraces emerging technologies (e.g., AI, edge computing, green tech)
Partner & Ecosystem Engagement
- Act as the front face and build and maintain strong partnerships with global OEMs, hyperscalers, cloud providers, ISVs, and local technology firms
- Secure national and international alliances that elevate
the company's
platform and service offerings
Governance & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure corporate governance, ethical conduct, and compliance with national ICT laws, data privacy, and cybersecurity standards
- Represent
the company
in regulatory engagements, industry forums, and national digital transformation initiatives
Talent & Culture Development
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent across technology, sales, and operational functions
- Build a high-performance leadership team and instil a culture of accountability, innovation, and purpose
ROLE SPECIFICATIONS
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master's degree (e.g., MBA or Executive Leadership Program) preferred
Certification
- Executive development certifications in leadership, strategy, or digital transformation are an asset
Experience
- 15–20 years of senior leadership experience in the ICT sector, with at least 7–10 years at the executive level (CEO, COO, or Business Unit Head)
- Proven success in leading technology-driven scale-ups or business transformations, ideally in telecom, ICT, cloud services, or digital infrastructure
