The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping department to ensure cleanliness, order, and comfort in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role involves managing a team of room attendants, public area attendants, and supervisors to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and presentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a strong leader, and passionate about delivering an exceptional guest experience.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, laundry services, and public area maintenance.
  • Lead and manage the housekeeping team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and staff areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and brand standards are consistently met.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment, and manage departmental budgets and cost control.
  • Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and hotel policies.
  • Work closely with Front Office and Maintenance departments to coordinate room readiness and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures and cleanliness checklists.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and waste management practices within the department.
  • Maintain accurate records related to staff schedules, inspections, and maintenance needs.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Minimum 3 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Working knowledge of housekeeping equipment, chemicals, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Property Management Systems (e.g., Opera, Maestro) and Microsoft Office.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
