We are currently recruiting for an Omani Joint Venture General Manager for our office in Oman.

The role exists to drive growth in Oman while supporting the successful development and coordination of the Oman Joint Ventures.

Oman Joint Venture General Manager

In compliance with the Agreement, the General Manager shall:

  1. Implement policies decided and decisions made by the Board of Directors, and make all necessary day-to-day decisions for the company's efficient performance.
  2. Propose the management structure for proper management of the company, suggest suitable individuals for roles, and seek approval from the Board of Directors. Shareholders and their affiliates should have opportunities to provide staff for the project team.
  3. Ensure compliance with contract provisions, standards, and regulations, and be responsible for the execution of works in accordance with approved schedules, budgets, and industry standards.
  4. Represent the company in dealings with employers and third parties, including correspondence.
  5. Organize and supervise company accounts, invoicing, and payments, ensuring bank accounts are operated ethically and profitably.
  6. Keep the Board informed about project progress and relevant contract matters, providing regular updates as directed.
  7. Prepare and submit monthly reports on financial and other relevant information, along with schedules, programs, and forecasts as required by the Board.
Oman Business Identification Manager

The primary role of the Business Identification Manager is to identify and capitalize on opportunities to grow Wood's business, aligned with global and business unit strategies. The focus is on acquiring new business and supporting growth targets, including revenue, margins, and client relationships.

The BIM will manage the opportunity pipeline across sectors and capabilities, coordinate with other BIMs and centers, and leverage skills, relationships, and cost bases to position Wood competitively. They will support business strategies, development, pursuits, client management, and proposal activities, ensuring alignment with company processes and goals.

The role involves assessing market and client information to identify risks and low-probability bids, and to recommend whether to pursue or not.

Additionally, the BIM will work to nurture client relationships, develop market entry strategies, support bid processes, and ensure compliance with ethical and internal policies.

This role reports to the Vice President of Growth and Development – Middle East – Delivery, and the Senior Vice President of Projects – Middle East – Delivery, requiring strong business partnering skills within a matrix organization with a focus on customer service.
