
Strategic Business Growth Director

We are currently recruiting for an Omani General Manager to drive growth in Oman and support the successful growth and coordination of joint ventures.
The role exists to lead business expansion, implement policies, and make day-to-day decisions necessary for efficient performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in people management, commercial experience, and leadership skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing policies decided by the Board of Directors and making all necessary decisions;
- Proposing a management structure and individuals to perform key roles;
- Ensuring compliance with contracts, standards, and regulations;
- Representing the company in dealings with employers and third parties;
- Organizing and supervising accounts, including invoicing and receiving payments;
- Maintaining open communication with the Board of Directors on progress and matters of relevance;
The Business Identification Manager plays a critical role in identifying and securing new business opportunities while supporting the growth of existing clients. Key accountabilities include:
- Identifying and validating key prospects and opportunities;
- Facilitating client meetings with Wood personnel to achieve business objectives;
- Using commercial and contractual acumen to assess competitiveness and identify barriers to success;
- Coordinating input into the LRM process and participating in reviews;
- Providing support to senior leaders on forecasting, re-forecasting, and prospect portfolio management;
- Managing opportunity records in the CRM system to ensure accuracy, governance, and compliance;
- Establishing strong customer networks and identifying opportunities well ahead of time;
- Developing relationships with local partners and maximizing combined strengths to secure work;
A strong track record in business start-up and management is essential, along with excellent people management and leadership skills. Commercial experience, IT systems knowledge, and sound knowledge of Oil & Gas services business and accounting methodology are also required.
