Desktop Technical Support Engineer Position

We require an experienced professional to provide expert technical assistance in Oman.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deployment and Maintenance: Deploy Windows operating system images for seamless IT operations.
  • Troubleshooting and Hardware Replacement: Identify and resolve hardware issues on-site, replacing faulty equipment as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Record and reconcile IT assets inventory, coordinating with stakeholders when necessary.
  • Workstation Monitoring: Monitor workstation health at key Business Continuity sites.
  • Disaster Recovery Support: Provide technical assistance during disaster recovery drills and business continuity activities.
  • Equipment Recovery: Recover replaced equipment and report on IT asset status.
  • Hardware Configuration: Replace faulty storage devices, rebuild Windows OS, install software, and configure drivers.
  • System Upgrade and Optimization: Rearrange cables, connect peripherals, upgrade desktop RAM, and configure user profiles.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience deploying Windows OS images and hands-on troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Effective communication skills in English and experience working in a team environment.
  • Licensing and Nationality: Omani driving license required; Omani nationality preferred.
Desirable Skills and Certifications:
  • Additional Qualifications: Additional degrees or certifications are advantageous.
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of computer hardware and software is essential.
  • Skillset: Strong interpersonal, analytical, planning, and time management skills.
