Job Title: Hygiene & Admin Coordinator

This role is a vital part of our hotel's operations, ensuring that our kitchen and food service areas maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

Description:

The Hygiene & Admin Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration duties in our fast-paced kitchen environment. This includes supporting our Kitchen Executives with tasks such as document management, filing, and distribution. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with our team to maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all hotel standards and policies.

Daily Tasks:

  • Complete administrative functions as detailed by the Executive Chef.
  • Assist in operational and administrative culinary aspects of the Kitchen.
  • Access, analyze, distribute, and file the daily flow of information to and from the Chef's office.
  • Monitor and support daily hygiene practices in kitchens, restaurants, bars, and food storage areas.
  • Manage the diary of the Executive Chef.
  • Assist in creating the daily Market list for the kitchen and support monthly inventory control.
  • Conduct routine inspections for food handling, storage, preparation, and service.
  • Assist in maintaining HACCP records and documentation.
  • Work closely with chefs and stewards to ensure cleanliness and sanitation protocols are followed.
  • Report non-compliance issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.
  • Handle the daily flow of incoming and outgoing telephone calls and messages.
  • Act as the hub of the Kitchen department, supplying and collecting information from the Chefs and co-ordinate response and perform a backup role for the Executive Chef.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, Hotel Management, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, or food safety practices (certification is a plus).
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and passion for hygiene and Food safety.
  • Able to work flexible shifts and in a high-paced environment.
  • Previous experience (internship or training) in a hospitality or food production setting is preferred.
