Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Information Technology Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth system operations, network stability, and data security.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain servers, storage systems, and networking components.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security across IT infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support for Windows and Linux environments.
  • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
  • Perform regular data backups, system updates, and disaster recovery tests.
  • Troubleshoot network issues including LAN/WAN connectivity, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address infrastructure requirements.
  • Maintain documentation of IT systems, procedures, and assets.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.

Technical Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux Server Administration.
  • Hands-on experience with network management and configuration (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, switches, routers).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS / Azure) and virtualization tools (VMware / Hyper-V).
  • Experience in system monitoring, backup solutions, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) are an advantage.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive approach to system improvement.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications like CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA Network+/Server+ are preferred.
