Job Description

The Kitchen Coordinator is a critical role in the culinary department, responsible for administrative duties and supporting the Executive Chef in day-to-day tasks. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality or hotel management, with a minimum of 3 years' experience working as a coordinator or administrative assistant. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as this role involves interacting with various stakeholders, including chefs, stewards, and external parties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Complete administrative functions as detailed by the Executive Chef.
  • Assist in all operational and administrative culinary aspects of the Kitchen.
  • Access, analyze, distribute, and file the daily flow of information to and from the Chef's office.
  • Monitor and support daily hygiene practices in kitchens, restaurants, bars, and food storage areas.
Required Skills and Qualifications

High School qualification or equivalent is preferred. A degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is preferred. The successful candidate will possess strong administrative skills, with the ability to handle telephone calls and written correspondence professionally.
