We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead the establishment and growth of our detergent and FMCG distribution channel in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge, a network of distributors and retailers, and a proven track record in successfully launching FMCG products in new markets.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Market Entry and Strategy Development
    1. Develop and execute a market entry strategy for Kuwait, aligning with the company's overall business goals.
    2. Conduct thorough market research to identify potential distributors, partners, and key market opportunities.
    3. Analyze competitors and market trends to position the brand effectively.
    4. Identify, negotiate, and onboard distribution partners and retailers across Kuwait.
    5. Establish a robust supply chain and logistics framework for the efficient delivery of products.
    6. Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards for FMCG products.
  2. Sales and Revenue Growth
    1. Drive sales growth by achieving agreed targets for revenue and market penetration.
    2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
    3. Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  3. Brand Positioning and Marketing Support
    1. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute localized promotional campaigns.
    2. Ensure effective brand visibility in retail outlets and online platforms.
    3. Provide feedback on marketing materials and campaigns to ensure alignment with local preferences.
  4. Team Leadership and Development
    1. Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team to support channel growth.
    2. Mentor and guide team members to achieve individual and team objectives.

Desired Candidate Profile

Key Requirements

  1. Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in FMCG sales and distribution, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Prior experience launching and growing brands in the Kuwaiti market is highly desirable.
  2. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  3. Skills:
    1. Strong knowledge of the FMCG sector, particularly detergents and household care products.
    2. Excellent negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
    3. Proficiency in market research, data analysis, and sales forecasting.
    4. Knowledge of local regulations and cultural nuances in Kuwait.
    5. Fluency in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).
    6. Local driving license is a must.
